Layout and visualization is much more than just aesthetics !
In any business communication, graphical design must have a function:

– attract and guide attention
– clarify the message and the structure
– make it easier to remember
– lead to the intended action

Understanding the WM and TLSM(R) will help you to understand how it works.

Ed ran a brand-new workshop (in Dutch) on visualization and layout for marketeers and communication experts. The workshop was organised by DM-insitute, a Belgian knowledge center for Digital and Direct Marketing. The participants from agencies and corporations were highly enthusiastic. One participant puts it in this way : “I rarely give a score as high as 8/10 for this type of workshop. Today I’ve given 10/10; that was the first time ever.”
In the workshop Ed combines the insights about the working memory and the TLSM(R) method with loads of practical tips and examples for communication designers. The participants gathered a number of practical ideas and were able to improve their own ads and websites.
